The project focuses on both the physical and psychological aspects of detachment, beginning with the child's birth, moving through their adolescence, and ultimately culminating in the mother's death. Each step in this progression signifies a significant separation and highlights the emotional impact of loss for both the mother and the child.
The use of a recorded beam of light in hyper lapse symbolise the passage of time and the archetypal nature of the mother-child relationship, suggesting that this dynamic is universal and fundamental to the human experience.
