POST TENEBRAS LUX - AFTER DARKNESS [I HOPE FOR] LIGHT
Installation art, video mapping

Contextual light and sound installation Madonna Delle Cataste Church (XX sec.), Ponzano di Fermo, IT.
Post Tenebras Lux is an immersive sound, light and video-mapping experience staging in Ponzano di Fermo’s landmark Madonna Delle Cataste, Italy.
The installation focuses on the symbolic dimension of the space and translates the sounds of the church’s story into a light show projected on a white cylinder - 2.20m wooden structure - that evokes the divine presence.
With a particular octagonal structure located on the edges of the Ete river, the remains of this small temple - a local heritage dates back to the XX sec. -  arose as a votive offering made by a farmer which story narrates about some alleged apparitions of the Madonna to some farmers in the area. Following a fire started in the 1940s, the roof collapsed so the church lost its use therefore remaining an historical attraction.
